Two Democrats introduce “Disarm Hate Act” they would use to take guns away from ALL Trump supporters

It’s not an election year and many Americans right now are gearing up to enjoy the summer, so it’s safe to say that most people are not paying attention to what Congress is doing.

And that’s the way they like it, especially authoritarian Democrats who never take a day off in trying to find new and inventive ways to strip political opponents of their rights.

As such, a pair of Dems introduced a measure in the House and Senate last week designed for one purpose: Take guns away from as many supporters of POTUS Donald Trump as they possibly can, and disguise the takeaway as ‘enhancing public safety.’

As reported by Guns America Digest, Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) and Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) introduced the “Disarm Hate Act,” which would permanently revoke the Second Amendment rights of any American convicted of a misdemeanor offense deemed to be a “hate crime.”

The website noted further:

Sponsors believe the bill closes the “Hate Crimes Loophole” by banning the sale and possession of firearms for anyone convicted of committing a crime on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.  

“Over and over again we have seen what happens when a convicted white supremacist, white nationalist, or neo-Nazi is able to purchase a gun,” Cicilline, vice-chairman of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, said in a statement. 

“This bill closes the Hate Crimes Loophole and makes it much harder for someone to give voice to their hatred in a volley of gunfire. It’s just common sense. If you’ve been convicted of a hate crime, you don’t get to buy a gun. Full stop,” he added.

The statement added:

Although convicted felons are currently prohibited from purchasing or possessing a gun under Federal law, very few states bar individuals convicted of a misdemeanor hate crime from buying a gun. A misdemeanor hate crime, which can include menacing or assault, is often a precursor for more severe attacks.

No mention by Cicilline of the hate crime/shooting murder committed earlier this month by a transgender Trump-hating student in Colorado, but he was probably going to mention that just any day now…right?

This bill is aimed at disarming Trump supporters, period

Look, let’s be frank: This bill has zero chance of passing; the Senate won’t go along and the president won’t sign it. Beyond that, there isn’t enough support in either chamber to override a veto.

But there are larger points here that need to be explained by us and committed to memory by anyone concerned about the survival of this great republic as founded:

— This bill is, straight up, aimed at disarming Trump supporters. How do we know? What is it that Left-wing Democrats say Trump engenders among his legions of backers? Hate. Never mind that they are the real haters; their objective with this bill is to have it serve as an adjunct for Leftist prosecutors across the U.S. to use as a blunt force legal tool to charge and convict Trump supporting conservatives and Second Amendment advocates with hate crimes — for speech, for protests, for demonstrations — and then disarm them under the color of law. — This bill should serve as yet another wake-up call to pro-liberty, pro-freedom-minded Americans in either party: Today’s Marxist Democrats are authoritarians, period. They will use any means necessary to deprive their political opponents (and even some of their own supporters) of any constitutional right they deem as being an impediment to their pursuit of power. 

It’s not that a piece of legislation like this would even pass Supreme Court muster, given the current make-up of the high court. But imagine after a term (or two) of a Left-wing Democratic president, who would appoint like-minded justices…who would rule such legislation ‘constitutional.’

More than anything, this latest effort by Democrats to take away your gun rights under the color of law just reveals more about who they really are: Authoritarians.
