As we have come to expect, the cowardly Republican Party is bowing down to the Cult of LGBTQP (the P stands for pedophiles) with new legislation that aims to make “transgenders” a special federally protected class.
Twenty-one House Republicans have reportedly signed on to new legislation introduced by Rep. Chris Stewart of Utah, a Mormon, which would provide exclusive protections to people with confused sexual orientation and gender identity.
Entitled the “Fairness For All Act” (FFAA), Rep. Stewart’s “all-Republican” bill has been offered up in exchange for specific “right to discriminate” carve-outs for dissident religious organizations – presumably the Mormon religion.
Christians, meanwhile, have no special protections, and neither do white people or conservatives. Stewart and his co-sponsors appear to be concerned only about Mormons and LGBTQPs. (RELATED: the American Medical Association (AMA) also wants to criminalize people who criticize transgenders.)
Rep. Stewart has introduced this legislation in the past, by the way. It was shot down in 2019, only to be resurrected in February 2021. It now has 20 other House Republicans who are also on board:
• Fred Upton (Mich.)
• Elise Stefanik (N.Y.)
• John Curtis (Utah)
• Mark Amodei (Nev.)
• Brian Fitzpatrick (Pa.)
• Adam Kinzinger (Ill.)
• Andrew Garbarino (N.Y.)
• Blake Moore (Utah)
• Burgess Owens (Utah)
• Carlos Gimenez (Fla.)
• Chris Jacobs (N.Y.)
• Claudia Tenney (N.Y.)
• Jeff Van Drew (N.J.)
• Jenniffer González-Colón (P.R.)
• Maria Salazar (Fla.)
• Mario Díaz-Balart (Fla.)
• Mike Simpson (Idaho)
• Nicole Malliotakis (N.Y.)
• Steve Stivers (Ohio)
• Tom Reed (N.Y.)
In an attempt to justify their support for this heinous bill, Republicans claim that it represents a “compromise” between religious liberty and putting LGBTQP Americans on a special pedestal as they continue to demand.
They also say that the FFAA somehow represents a “conservative alternative” to the Equality Act, a far-left bill that aims to criminalize all opposition to the LGBTQP agenda.
If passed and signed into law, the Equality Act would make sexual orientation and gender identity a U.S. civil rights law without any religious liberty safeguards whatsoever.
In other words, the Equality Act would essentially criminalize pastors who preach against homosexuality and transgenderism, even though the Bible clearly outlines that such persuasions do not align with Christianity.
“With all of the anti-discrimination protections afforded to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, and disability, such legislation would elevate transgenderism to the place of a fixed category with a positive right to affirmation in the public square,” writes Nate Hochman for National Review about what the FFAA will do if passed.
“But perhaps more worryingly, it could arm the transgender movement’s already extraordinary efforts to silence dissent with the full force of the civil-rights bureaucracy.”
Instead of sticking to their guns and standing against the LGBTQP mob, Republicans are basically now joining it. Once again, the party of “patriots” is proving itself to be the wimpiest bunch of do-nothings who almost never accomplish anything on behalf of conservatives or Christians.
“FFAA is clearly a priority for Stewart,” Hochman adds. “It was one of the first five bills that the congressman introduced in the 2021 session, and he has continued to publicly push for its passage.”
“Earlier this month, he touted the legislation at a gala hosted by the Log Cabin Republicans, where he was granted the LGBT advocacy group’s ‘Congressional Champion Award’ for his ‘introduction and continued persistence for the Fairness For All Act.'”
Perhaps this is more of a Mormon thing than anything else, and not really a Republican thing. But if Mormonism has embedded itself into Republicanism into order to push an ulterior agenda, then can the Republican Party even be trusted anymore?
