A long-time Google software engineer has spilled the beans about how tech giant Google really does prejudice its search results and news feeds against POTUS Donald Trump, and with an eye toward altering the outcome of the 2020 election.
In a newly released video on Wednesday, Project Dr. Greg Coppola, who has a Ph.D. in philosophy in Computer Science and has worked at Google for more than five years, told Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe that the tech giant’s news feed and search algorithms have been purposely altered so that users mostly get negative content about the president and his administration.
It’s not as though the algorithm is designed to weed out news sources that are generally truthful and more complimentary of the president, Coppola noted. Rather, it’s that they are written in ways to concentrate on news and information from sources with noted, distinct anti-Trump bias.
“Google News is really an aggregator of just a handful of sites and all of those sites really are vitriolically against President Trump, which I would really consider to be interference in the American election,” Coppola says in the video. “Like for example, CNN is the most commonly used source in Google News: 20 percent of all results for Donald Trump are from CNN when that’s the entire internet of millions of sites.”
Coppola emphasizes that he’s not simply making things up and that what he’s alleging isn’t a conspiracy theory, but rather information that is based on hard-and-fast knowledge and experience.
“I’ve been coding since I was ten [years old.] I have a Ph.D., I have five years’ experience at Google and I just know how algorithms are,” Coppola says. “They don’t write themselves. We write them to do what want them to do.”
It also seems quite obvious that what Google is attempting to do is alter the outcome of the 2020 elections against Republicans and certainly in favor of whomever runs against POTUS Trump, something he describes as “dangerous”:
I think we’re just at a really important point in human history. I think for a while we had tech that was politically neutral. Now we have tech that really, first of all, is taking sides in a political contest, which I think, you know, anytime you have big corporate power merging with political parties can be dangerous.
Though he’s sounding the alarm as a Google whistleblower, Robert Epstein, a Democrat voter and researcher, has said that, based on his own studies, Google has the power to influence millions of votes.
“Robert Epstein who testified before Congress last week, um, looked into it and showed that you know, the vast majority of people think that if something is higher rated on Google Search than another story, that it would be more important and more correct,” Coppola said.
“And you know, we haven’t had time to absorb the fact that tech might have an agenda. I mean, it’s something that we’re only starting to talk about now.” (Related: Idiocy: CNN’s “Reliable Sources” host Brian Stelter isn’t buying Project Veritas’ Google bombshells because he couldn’t find any info about it… on Google.)
In studies last year, Epstein concluded that Google’s skewed search results and Google News feed may have changed as many as three elections in favor of Democrats.
“Analysis of this data showed a clear pro-Democrat bias in election-related Google search results as compared to competing search engines,” Breitbart News reported.
As for Google’s agenda, Coppola was clear that the tech behemoth is solidly Left, pro-Democrat, and anti-Trump.
“I think it’s, you know, ridiculous to say that there’s no bias. I think everyone who supports anything other than the Democrats, anyone who’s pro-Trump or in any way deviates from what CNN and the New York Times are pushing, notices how bad it is,” he told Project Veritas.
